This type of collaborative research is essential for developing effective and evidence-based strategies that are applicable to real-world clinical settings and responsive to the needs of patients and healthcare systems worldwide.
This approach has helped overcome geographical, economic, and cultural barriers, creating a continuous flow of knowledge between countries that may differ greatly in terms of healthcare systems, resources, and clinical practice.
The value of knowledge sharing is particularly evident in the development of international guidelines. These documents are not the product of a single institution or country, but rather the result of the collective contribution of hundreds of experts from around the world. This collaborative process makes the recommendations not only scientifically robust, but also more representative of diverse clinical settings and healthcare realities.
In other words, global knowledge becomes a practical resource that can be adapted to local contexts, according to the principle of “think global, act local.”
